The Design Process
Designing a website for you or your company is a similar to building a house.  You collect your ideas, document your wants and needs and present them to your builder who will design a two dimensional drawing the represents you vision.  The only different is, with your new website, we provide fully functional mockups of your site so you can get a feel for the design and walkthrough.

Our design process begins with the basics, understanding your needs.  Whether its a family website or a portal for your small business we follow the same process to ensure you get what you want.

The design process at Afterimage Web Design consists of the following:

  1. Meet with you to discuss your wants and needs.  Tell us what your vision is and we will ensure the final product meets and exceeds this vision.
  2. Based on our initial conversation, we send you out to collect your ideas, compile documentation and screen shots of what you would like to see on your new site.
  3. Once completed, you will provide us with the this documentation and we develop a Statement of Work.  The Statement of Work outlines all the work to be done to develop your website.  This ensures that we're both on the same page and understand your needs and what we will deliver.
  4. The next step is to develop mockups of your new site.  We typically provide three to four mockups and allow you to choose.  We will work together to customize a mockup until it fully meets your needs.
  5. Once the site design is agreed upon, then and only then, we begin the work.

The design process can take anywhere between a few days to a few month, depending on the scope of your project.
